“I am a physician (an internist and hospitalist at several major hospitals in LA) and my wife has a PhD in psychology. We went to the center for the birth of our second child after the first happened in one of the prestigious hospitals in LA.

I am generally skeptical of “natural” medicine, while my wife has a greater propensity to embrace those types of things. We went on a tour of the center as compromise between home birth and a traditional hospital. I was immediately impressed. First, Simona is well versed in traditional medicine and basically knows everything your OBGYN will know regarding vaginal births. She is extremely experienced. Second, the center itself is clean, relaxing, and the staff is wonderful. Finally, the center is situated several blocks from a major LA hospital in case more traditional emergent medical care is needed.

We decided to use the center and my wife gave birth to a healthy daughter recently. It was a great experience. My wife got through labor medication free (and with little preparation for the pain before the birth). As a comparison, my wife tried to go medication free for our son’s birth and ended up with an epidural and a urinary catheter. We were home quickly and my wife was beaming with happiness.

It is obvious Simona is extremely dedicated to her craft and cares deeply for her patients. If we have another child we will not hesitate to use the center again.” –B.D. 3/15/16
