Mayra Hernandez has recently graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Rights and with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with an emphasis in Translation. She recently received her CNA certification and is currently being trained as a Birth Assistant. Prior to volunteering here at the center she interned as a Clinical Care Extender in Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where she was given the opportunity to work in the labor and delivery department. Her time there and here at the Natural Birth Center has reassured her that becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife is the most rewarding and most fitting profession for her. She is thrilled to be learning from the environment and the midwives, but is most eager to share an amazing and beautiful birthing experience with you all.
